Black Dawge Cartridge

January 16, 2012. Um, more price stuff. Shipping costs, again. We increased the shipping fee for the Cap and Ball Cylinder Loader from $5 to $10 today. That still doesn't cover all of the costs of shipping one, but it comes closer. Thanks.

January 10, 2012. We added CCI #10, #11, and #11 magnum caps on our caps page, along with the four-winged CCI Musket caps already there.

January 3, 2012. Change in shipping costs for ammunition. $12-19.50 per carton, $19.50 for full cartons (10 boxes), $12 for 1-5 boxes in a partial carton plus $1.50 for additional boxes in a partial carton, up to the $19.50 for a full 10 box carton. Sorry, the transport costs really bit us with the new shipper price schedules.

January 3, 2012. Price increase. Bullets, ammo, caps. Shipping charges went up, and GOEX powder prices increased a bit. Happy New Year!

August 31, 2011. Caps. We ordered more percussion caps (four winged, CCI) for replica muskets, but the bill is higher than we expected. So, since we sold all those caps we had, and the newer caps cost us more . . yep. Price increase. Caps went up about $5 per 1,000 pieces to you (a bit more than that to us, actually.)

August 22, 2011. Apologies to those in Hawaii and Alaska. Freight charges there are, um, exorbitant. It seems UPS charge$ a "ground" rate, but actually puts the order on a plane to get there. (A big surprise, heading to Hawaii, huh?) Anyway, if ordering for delivery to Hawaii or Alaska, please call (during business hours, US Central time, etc.) to work out freight. And if ordering cartridges, UPS adds on the Dept of Transportation HAZMAT fee for shipping blackpowder on a plane. For UPS Ground rates. You coulda knocked me over with a feather. Just in case you are wondering, I checked, and Alaska and Hawaii don't border any other states! You, or UPS, have to cross oceans or other countries to get there from here!

June 14, 2011. Changes in the .45 cal bullets. The price came down, a bit, for the .45 cal, 450 grain bullets, and we added a 500 grain in .45 cal.

May 13, 2011. And, yes, this really is Friday the 13th. Our justly famed and cherished Cap and Ball Cylinder Loader ships with two loading jags. I know we said it ships with three, and it used to, until, ahem, that changed. Sorry for the mis-information.

January 17, 2011. We ran out of the brass powder flasks and measures made here in Arkansas, USA. We don't know when they will be back in stock.

January 3, 2011. Happy new year! We raised the prices some, on ammo and bullets. 38 Long Colt cartridges are available again! We dropped the prices on 45-90 ammo!

November 22, 2010. New pages, new products. Check out the online catalog. Patches - Wonder lubed Cotton and Cotton Ticking shooting patches, revolver seals - a bunch of muzzleloading and black powder revolver nice-to-haves - including the revolver safety-first gizmos, seals that reduce the chance that cylinders might cross-fire between chambers. And Caps, percussion caps for muzzleloaders. Buy 'em by the 1,000 pieces. Or five thousand or ten, for a better price. Prices for caps include shipping and hazmat fees.

April 12, 2010. Security blurb, and request for assistance. This past week we started hearing about a warning on transactions with Black Dawge Cartridge and Powder, Inc. (PowderInc.com). We believe this is due to changes at our credit card processor, and that the warning refers to an older browser, or a browser that isn't set up to use 128 bit encryption.

As far as we know, nothing is less secure than it has been. It may be that someone has added an additional, new check for security beyond what we have been used to. But we want to find out.

If you experience such a warning, and you are using Internet Explorer 8 or later, or another browser, please email me, the webmaster at brad.kruse AT pobox DOT com, with your browser name and version number, or if you spot something else that might be causing something to question security between our store and your computer. Many thanks! My computer doesn't show the message, so I have nothing to trouble shoot. Dang it.

April 10, 2010. Catalog is online. Since it is new - we appreciate knowing what you think of the appearance, and any problems or corrections you might notice.
